Churches, Bricks, and Dead Angels: A Dream Recall

I originally was going to put this into a tweet thread like I do most of my other dream recall accounts, but this was just too long and detailed. It would have taken ages to click through and parts of it would probably get lost in replies, etc. Is really does get pretty strange. Like it started with one thing and then went off the rails towards the end. I did wake up a couple time through the night, but each time I fell asleep, the dream picked right back up where it left off. So here it goes... I start off in a brick paved courtyard standing between two churches facing each other. One is old and the other is new, but they look exactly the same otherwise. It's like they're mirroring each other. I'm waiting for something, not exactly sure what, but I decide to read the plaques on the side of the older building. One says there was a natural spring with a brick fountain built around it, and it was paved over to build the new church. This made me incredibly angry. I couldn'...

Schedule a Tarot Session with Me

Hello friends,  You may have heard or read that I now offer tarot and oracle readings. Well it's true! Find all the details below:  Readings will be done via e-mail. This will allow me to put extra time, care, and thought into each personal reading I carry out. This will also allow you to have your reading in writing so that you can refer back to it whenever you want. You will receive your completed reading in 1-4 business days depending on demand. If at any point I am unable to deliver your reading to you within that time, I will be sure to notify you personally.  There are a few different options available to you, should you choose to have a reading by me. All readings are intuitive and not just a ho-hum traditional card meaning relayed to you. That means I can offer further insight and reflection to your question.   I offer oracle readings as well. Additionally you may select a tandem oracle/tarot reading where the decks are used side by side to provide even...

Chaos of Change and the Ethics of Magic

I decided to merge these two subjects into one post because they’re directly connected in many ways. I’ll get right to it.     If you are planning on performing ritual to change a n integral part of your life (relationships, career, finances, health, etc ), you should keep in mind what kind of fallout you may  experience. The size of the change s requested  is directly proportional to the difficulties you will face as the changes manifest  in your life. This is what I call “ c haos of change ” and it can negatively affect you long-term if you aren’t prepared.      The intention of your  ritual is a drop into a sea of universal energy. The size and weight of that drop will resonate outwards, and the ripples will widen  as they travel. Eventually, those ripples will hit your target and travel back towards you, hopefully carrying your ends as they come.       You better brace yourself and ho...

Determinism is Uncomfortable

Time for a little departure from the kind of content in my other posts. Or is it? The whole concept of determinism has been floating around in my head for some time, and my brain just had enough and decided I needed to purge all this out into writing.   A lot of people don’t buy into determinism, and that’s fine. This isn’t a concrete “This is what I believe and everything else is w ron g” post. You’ll almost never see content like that from me. It’s philosophy, and none of it is hard science. It ’s just the whole concept of determinism is so mind blowing if you follow it all the way down.    Determinism makes people uncomfortable for a lot of reasons, I think. We want to believe in free will. That we are all the makers of our own fate. Determinism suggests to some people that we are puppets. I don’t see it that way at all. I do want to take a moment to say that I am not talking about Theological Determinism. That assumes an all-powerful God is at the root ...

Magic May Not Be What You Think

Before I really get into the core of this post, I want to preface this with the fact that other people have written on this specific subject before. This won’t necessarily come across as profound or groundbreaking for a lot of people. For some others, it might be the first they’ve heard of it.  This is simply my take and my  journey to it .   I was really spending an inconvenient amount of time hemming and hawing over what exactly to call this post, and what to call the practice. I’ve seen some elements of it related to chaos magic, I’ve also seen it called anarchic magic. The issues I have with those terms is the connotation of negativity associated with chaos and anarchy  in their very basic Merriam-Webster- e s que definitions and not the ones practitioners have adopted for themselves. I have always had issues with written language and the power words have before they come to us (more on that later).   That’s not to say your results won’t h...
